Translational spaces supporting the thresholds of life

When we endeavor to have important conversations, it is vital that we come whole. Most programming and advocacy work these days is siloed — but it doesn’t have to be. What if we nourished the senses, restored our nervous systems and titrated our way into and out of the hard, interesting and interweaving conversations?

We host workshops, retreats, special events and Threshold Summits to explore and honor thresholds.

Galleries & Art Response Spaces

Many of our events incorporate art ~ we partner with local galleries and artists to provide spaces where guests are encouraged to do response art while listening to music and dialogues.

The surrounds of art is enriching and develops right brain perception and intelligence.

Art making is scientifically proven to assist us in integration, processing information and regulating emotional states. A mindful and imaginative pause also allows for honoring the ground from which we flourish.

Live Music & Storytelling

Tales about thresholds, both individual and collective, are shared for many worthy purposes: learning, preparing, warning, protecting, forming courage, grieving, seeing more clearly and celebrating.

Perhaps most importantly, stories are a salve for loneliness. A shared story has the potential to shape another’s rite of passage can become a source of deep bonding rather than painful isolation.

In the spaces we offer, storytelling is encouraged to enliven our capacity for personal and transpersonal connection and meaning.

Support & Nourishment

We braid together sensory experiences with known stress reduction benefits such as:

  • Live music

  • Art making

  • Therapeutic modalities like Reiki & Craniosacral

  • Storytelling

  • Movement

  • Locally sourced healthy food

These modalities promote bidirectional learning and healthy nervous system regulation. Everything at our events are opt-in, you can simply sit and listen, too.
